hi i have a 1990 honda accord, and its winter time now and my heat is definitely not the greatest, i was wondering how to flush it the heatercore on it, or maybe if it needs replacing how hard of job is it, but in the summer i had a rad leak and i used this rad sealant, a few times, and eventually got a new rad, and now im thinking maybe some of that stuff is gunked up in there? would flushing it help, or, even just giving it a shot to see if it does work?

Do you use Barr's stop leak or a similar product? If so you plugged the heater core.

Gently, carefully remove both hoses to/from the core. You can do this either at the core or at the block if it works better.

Using a garden hose with moderate water pressure, flush out the heater core. Watch what comes out.

replacing a heater core is a time consuming difficult job best left to a shop.

well truth you cant really flush it out once you put stop leak in it might try an dremove heater hoses but most like your going top be buying a heater core and some things they tough
