My mom blames me for everything even though I tell her I didn't do it?

My mom is a neat freak so whenever she finds a little stain on a chair or carpet she freaks out and starts screaming at me! I tell her I had nothing to do with it but she just yells and yells and yells! For example yesterday we were wrapping christmas presents and she couldn't find the scissors. I had been using them the day before but I put them back.She starts to scream at me and after we use MY scissors she finds the original ones next to where she was siting. How do I make her believe me when I'm telling her I had nothing to do with it?

My mom is JUST like that. So this is what I do; I don't react, I just stand there wait for her to calm down and say, "Okay mom, I am sorry. I will try and make it not happen again." She usually stops screaming after that. I know i didn't do it, but by saying this, it saves a whole load of drama.

Sounds like she is stressing out over Christmas. Wait a few days and things should lighten up. Right now our economy is causing a lot of stress. Lots of people losing their jobs and no new ones available. Try to be patient with her. It is not the scissors or stains its the sign of the times.

Sounds like she has OCD! (obsessive compulsive disorder)
Get some ear plugs, if she hadn't heard you by now, nothings gonna give. Does she work too much? Seems overly stressed like things aren't going her way. Put some vodka in her coffee or something. If she keeps stressing she's gonna have a freaking stroke! Then what? She needs a vacation. She might tone it down after the holidays.
