What to do about an alcoholic abusive dad?

I have a friend who has told me that her step dad abuses her. She has tried telling someone about it but her mom doesn't believe her and made sure she got no one involved. Her mom is somewhat reasonable but its the step dad that I'm worried about. My friend has a 1 year old brother and 3 older siblings yet my friend is the only one that gets abused. My friend blames everything on her and she tries to convince me that it is her fault. She doesn't want to tell anyone about it because she wants to make sure her little brother doesn't get taken away. She gets scared every time she is home alone with him because he will get drunk and assault her physically. What should I do?

talk to your parents. she is too young to be thinking rationally about this. you need an adults advice and even if she thinks it'd not what she wants it still may be whats best for her
