Someone once told me that you shouldn't brush your teeth after eating an apple, and that you should wait at least 2 hours before you do. Apparently it's bad for your teeth. Is there some scientific proof to this? What would be so bad about it? I can't wait two hours!!! My teeth need to be brushed now and I feel like singing in the bathroom now, not two hours FROM now!

If it is true, are there any other foods that fall into the same category? I think it totally negates the purpose of a toothbrush & toothpaste ever existing!

Update: I just ate the apple and brushed immediately after, and now I'm paranoid. I don't want to lose my teeth. Are they going to fall out?
