What can I do about nocturnal leg spasticity?

About once every other week, my legs will jitter and shake while I'm trying to sleep. They continue doing this after I'm asleep, sometimes keeping my wife awake. Is there anything I can do about this?

massage your leg....or maybe you have restless leg syndrome (basically you have to move your leg) ask your doctor.

Doesn't that happen to everyone just as they're trying to get to sleep? Sleep in a different bed...or go see a doc.

Go see your primary care doctor. They can prescribe you on a low-dose seizure medicine. The restless legs are a tiny, tiny form of seizures only in your legs.

In the meantime...when that happens, get up and walk around the room. Jumping, stretching, kicking out hard are all good ways to stop the twitching. But I really do think you should ask your doctor about it to see if it is Restless Leg Syndrome. If it is, it's easily controllable (not curable).

It could be possible that you either have restless leg syndrome, or you could have low electrolytes. I would check with the doctor, and ask them about the restless leg syndrome, and then also look at the ways that you can replenish your electrolytes.
