What Happens to your car if you put gasoline in a diesel engine?

The other day my dad said at home that at the gas station they accidentally put a little gasoline instead of diesel fuel and he also said that it was good that the one responsible found out early and told him. BUT i didn't understand what could have happen if they put gasoline in a diesel engine and didn't react at time?

Say Good bye to your engine diesel does not have spark plugs it was meant for ethanol soo yeah it pretty much explodes inside

whats a little? like a drop?
regardless, get all the fuel out of the car now and fill with diesel, it can cill an engine
