eight 1.2 volt ones? I have a one watt portable Citizens' band radio, and it requires eight AA batteries, which at 1.5 volts each equals twelve volts. The problem is, I cannot afford to keep replacing those batteries, so I want to use rechargeables. Rechargeable batteries are 1.2 rather than 1.5 volts, so it would take ten batteries to equal twelve volts, although the case has only room for eight. Would it work despite being 2.4 volts lower in power?
