Yes it will work fine. Most people wouldn't even notice the difference between 1080p and 1080i unless you put them side by side showing the same movie.

Hi,

WOuld like to know if i can buy a 1080i hd tv for the purpose of hooking a blu-ray player to it ? I know i won't get the full hd experience that i would have with a 1080p full hd tv. I know that blu-ray player have a full hd 1080p output.

Yes, blu ray will work with any form of HD, as long as they have the appropriate connections such as HDMI which is an industry standard for HD equipment. It will work, but as you say just not as good as a 1080p, the only difference being is that the detail will remain the same but the image will be slightly pixelated during high motion, (i standing for interlacing, p for progressive) A progressive image gives a better refresh and quicker picture building.

Of course you can. Your resolution will be 1080i. It will still look good, just not the best possible.
