I have a brand new laptop that is running vista.
I installed anti virus software etc, and set up my pc properly before i started doing anything online. I have been using my pc for the past few days without a hitch and then i decided to install the latest version of Windows Live Messenger. every time i am connected to windows live messenger, my web pages stop loading, and then messenger loses its connection and tries to connect and then i abort everything because nothing works - it is like messenger ruins my internet connection. i close all IE windows and close messenger and have to re-start my internet connection. has anyone heard of this before? is there a way to fix it so i can use messenger without having to shut everything down every 10 minutes?
PS i uninstalled Windows Live Messenger and installed MSN Messenger and still had the same problems
