i have a verizon plan, these phones are only $50, can i go in and get an early upgrade and get a phone and only pay $50???

Depends on if you have had your current phone for two yrs. If you haven't and have a family member that has, you can switch plans with them but still keep your #.
if you have had you plan for at least two yrs, you will get a 100 dollar discount.
you can still get these 50 dollar phones, ( ENV2, Samsung Glyde, etc.) but they won't be 50 dollars. you will have to pay at least 75 dollars. hope i helped!
