you should go to the AT&T store and exchange your phone. If you have to buy a new one, id go on cellhut.com to buy one, its really cheap there and you can use it on t-mobile, att, or any other gsm based providers

Go to AT&T and have them look at the phone.
thats extremely weird. Did you drop it in water or get it touched by water with out knowing or drop it at all? If this did occurr, or if this didn't occurr, either way go to your local At&t dealer and tell them the problem and they should defianetly fix it, sometimes at no charge.
if it got dropped by/in water - put it in the oven (your battery) for a couple of minutes and it drys out the water and your phone should normally work fine- it worked for me at least (i have a razr)
**HOPE THIS HELPS**
GOOD LUCK
go to the at&t store and ask and they can help
take the phone and let someone check it out.
call 611 on your land line
talk to a customer service rep
they can usually help you over the phone
unless you guys find that an actual part is broken
then you'll send it in and they will send you a replacement
new phone. it's just worn out.
