What disease does my betta fish have?

Well, I have one betta, and my sister has one also.

My betta is a solid red color, the color doesn't seem distorted. But it sits at the corner of my bowl that hangs on the wall all day. It seemed to have started that when I last changed the bowl, yesterday. It doesn't swim too much. The face isn't a solid red color, it has some red small red blotches as well.
    Does mine have a disease?

Now, my sister's fish, I'm pretty sure it has a disease. It's tail and fins look very dull and somewhat translucent. The head is a very dull blackish grey, although the betta should be royal blue with hints of purple and red. The eyes of my sister's betta are entirely black, which makes it look even worse.

If you need more detail, be sure to ask. Please help me, and quick.

    Thanks.

How long have you had them? They could be getting old and dying. I know my fish did that when he was old. I miss the little guy but I didn't change his water nearly enough. Often stores will have the fish for a long time, so there is no way to know exactly how old they were when you got them. Just feed them and give them plenty of love and hope that they get better. Good luck!

it doesn't have a disease haha.
blotches, and spots are normal things on betta fish. it's what makes them unique from eachother. they all come in a variety of colors.

betta fish are fighting fish, but when they are seperated from other fish, they are pretty boring, they dont swim around much, but instead, just kind of...sit there. there's nothing wrong with your betta, it's just how all bettas are.

I know you say your fish are Beta fish but, I had 2 goldfish and when they got black spots they died. I think it is just a sickness that fish get. Did you keep some of the old water from the fishs tank? If not you should because they need some of the germs that are in the water. That may be the cause. ALSO don't use soap in the bowl that may also cause sickness.

    they are fish.

fish dont have very long lives,
so even if they do have diseases...what does it matter?

Make sure you are dechlorinating the water before you put it in the tank. Also try airating the water.
