Is Green politics the 21st Centuries version of facist politics?

Green political parties seem to want to pass laws to ban people and ideas that are not congruent with their own goals and beliefs. They seem to see Human freedom as secondary to their own goals!
Some examples. The green party in New Zealand is part of the government......... They have pushed for tax payer funding of their party( thankfully they failed), They successfully lobbied to have a law passed to stop the media satirizing politicians in parliament, and supported legislation that has been passed that prevents individuals from advertising against politicians in an election year. None of these laws supports the environment just the Green parties power base.

No that is absurd. Every political party or interest group seeks to promote its interests and agenda. The "freedom" of industries to pollute might be restricted, but it would be a good thing for "human freedom" to breathe and live in a world where climate change is minimized.

The Green politics, is a new version and evidence of a new breed of crazy people running around trying to make a name for them selves. And aggravating their fellow man as if we don't have enough problems..But think about it what if Al Gore had been our President, God is Good.

Cite an example...at least if you are going to make that assertion show an example of it.
Are people simply expected to agree with that ?... lets take an objective look at a valid example, or provide a source ( A NON-BIASED ONE PREFERABLY) then maybe the answers would be more informed.

I agree with you. The most dangerous people in society today are the left wing 'do gooders', look at the social chaos they have created in England.

there is a difference between green politics and parties and those who jump on the bandwagon and seeit as a tool for their own goals or tax raising powers.
What is so wrong with wanting to clean up and sustain the planet? do you want to live in a world of rot and decay where people continually fight over resources as well as the usual fights?
imagine if the earth was a sphere only a few meters in diameter with all sorts of strange life on it.. we would do all we could to preserve and look after it, not destroy it.. so why destroy the one we have and live on? it is unique in our solar system and yes there may be other planets out there capable of life but thats no reason not to make an effort to save this one and if that means cuting back on travel, landfill and countless other measures would that be so bad? nothing wrong with a simpler slower pace of life. as long as we are happy healthy somewhere to live and something to eat

Yep, clean air, clean water, nutritious food are all fascist political objectives. Get a clue!!!
