I drive a 53 Reg Nissan Micra, it has always been fine, had it about a year, but this septmber i started driving long distance every day down the A3 and it's developing problems...

Basically it is really sensitive to flooding, sometimes human error, just me slightly brushing the accelerator can either cause it to not start, or to fire on only 3 cyclinders and pack up a few minutes later.

Also it reaks of petrol, something it never did when I first had it. And if it gets upset in the slightest my engine management warning light will be there for days.

I took it for a £200 repair 2 months ago to fix a major loss of power, huge, huge petrol consumption, and just over all dodgy-ness. They replaced the O2 censor, whatever that it.

Anyway, the problem is back, this time without the major power loss, but with shuddering when stationary and just terrible when starting/driving in cold/damp conditions.

One thought is that the cold start mechanism may be faulty. But any thoughts?
