Clearwire and Sprint... a few questions?

So, I have been hearing about Clearwire and Sprint merging and had a few questions.

-Is this true?
-What internet would it offer?
-What would the speeds be?
-Would it play xbox live?
-When will they officially be merged?

Also, I live in the capital district of New York and was wondering if that internet service would be available.
