Time Warner is constantly charging me fees and money and I have no clue where the money is going. 16 Bucks for each of my 2 dvr's. My monthly bill for cable, internet, and phone is 173. Sattelite can't be worse than this? Direct Tv or Dish?

I had satellite for years and hated it since the day it was installed. Any time it would rain or was windy I could count on no tv signal and it wasn't coming back until it cleared. Check your area for a service from at&t called Uverse. No signal problems in inclement weather, more channels for less, whole home dvr and I can log into my dvr remotely and set up to record programs. And the internet speed averages 6.5 to 6.8 mbps. All in all, this is by far the best service I have ever had and I've had them all.
I agree about the cost but have stayed away from satellite because the internet speeds are relatively slow compared to cable. I just checked and Dishnetwork is at .5 Mb up to 1.5mb on the "platinum plan". I'm too used to 15mb. If that doesn't bother you, I have friends that are very happy with Dish and pay about less than I do.
