When ever I unplug my laptop, it disconnects from the internet?

So I've had this laptop for a few years and everything was working fine, but lately whenever I unplug my laptop battery from the wall so it's just using battery life it always disconnects from the internet and I can't get any connection, but as soon as i plug it in again the internet connection comes back. Is there any way to fix this? =(

Your power save setting are probably set to disable your network card in order to save batter power.

Check your settings for power consumption during battery power .
