This is the first diesel I've owned and the turbo isn't spooling. I found the wastegate actuator and it doesn't seem to be moving...ever. I can move the linkage when the truck is off (feel spring tension) but when I start it, the linkage does not move from the off position and it becomes immobile. I also noticed that the 'canister' end of the actuator does not have any vac lines going to it (much less anywhere to plug a line onto). Maybe I'm new, but shouldn't there be a vacuum on the canister somewhere? I also get a LOT of smoke above 2500 rpm- especially when its cold (5 to 10 minutes)
