I've had it into the shop and they could not find the problem (said it is a phantom noise). The noise is not consistent. It did not make the noise all summer, but has just recently started again, with the cooler weather. Does not make the noise when idling. It is fairly loud and annoying....Please help

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee left front end whining noise. Happens during acceleration ?

Could be the wheel bearing going out on the left front.

if it's a rotational noise that goes with the speed of the jeep then most likely it's the wheel bearing.
