I have been researching the Sprint Blackberry Curve 8330 for a little while now, I have been looking online and have even gone into the stores to talk to people about what I am wanting to do. When talking to the sales people about the phone I mentioned that I wanted it for the planner and for text messaging and I will not need a data package because I do not want to use the internet.
So last night I was ready to make my purchase. I went into the store, told them I was ready and what I wanted, and these sales people told me that without the data package I could not use the phone. Is this true? How come every other Sprint representative I have talked to did not mention this when I brought up my intentions. I really wanted this phone, but an extra $30 on top of my Sprint bill is not feasible.
1) Can anyone give me any insight on this?
2) If this is true, what are some good Sprint phones that have a key pad to make texting easier, and a very good planner.
Thanks guys, I really just hate how these people are trying to use their customers, and charge them out the whazoo!
Just to note...I didn't buy it, I told them that that is the one that I wanted and if that is how it worked I wasn't ready to make another purchase at that time.
