Ok. Here's a tough one... I own a mercedes benz E200 (1999) and now the car only...

...drives on one gear!!!!? When you start up, the P R N D display no longer shows and when you move it never changes gears so you're basically driving on one gear. It reverses. I had the car scanned and received the following prompts
P1750 Electronic Gear Selector Module: Very low control unit supply voltage
P1910 Electronic Gear Selector Module: Control Unit over voltage
I was told its the gear selector lever thats the problem but i've replaced it 7 times and either it doesn't fit or doesn't work altogether...
Im beginning to think the mechanics are using trial and error to decipher the fault so I need a second opinion. thanks
 
Even if they are doing trial & error,, you do not have to pay for any repair service if they can't fix the problem.. That is a fact..

I would talk to the manager and demand satisfaction...
 
mechanics are using trial and error to decipher the fault .. really my Gear Selector has ben broke for five yrs now really if you cant back it up or go forward its not going to be any Gear Selector Module be more like the transmission
