completely ridiculous? I'm a 16 year old honors student in 11th grade. My dad put a filter on my computer when I was 12, which is perfectly understandable. But now I think it's a little much. The filter blocks EVERYTHING, even if it's something perfectly family-friendly. It's not like I'm trying to look at nasty stuff, because I'm not. I just want to be able to use the web like a normal person. In addition to the web filter, he password protected the PC so I can't get on it when I want to. Basically, I need to go and ask him if I can go on MY computer, which is obscene. Also, if he's feeling particularly lazy, he won't even let me on, even if I have to do homework.
I'm pretty sure that, at the age of sixteen, I can use the internet responsibly.
