    Paitience and football... leave the TV on and hope for the best, there is really no way to deal with the withdrawl, he has to be willing to realize that it is effecting him, telling him it is will not work, maybe best to just keep out of his way.

    Be direct and tell him that it's great that he chose to quit and that U R willing to put up with the mood swings. Enlighten them with harmless comments and try to laugh about what kind of an ass he's become he will eventually laugh along with U.Because let me tell U after he is over those moods he will become one of the most annoying people to all his friends that still smoke and friends will be a little less tolerent than a loving wife.
