Can Bell Mobility send me to collections for a disputed unpaid bill?

I switched to Rogers after a huge bill discrepancy. I refuse to pay the amount that Bell is saying I owe and they are saying I'm going to get sent to collections. I heard that Bell Mobility can not send people to collections because they are listed as a utility company....Anyone know if this has some truth to it??

Your terms of service will indicate that you are responsible for the charges and have 30 days to dispute them. Should you fail to resolve a dispute and abandon an unpaid bill they will persue the funds. The account is sold to a collection agency 60 days after your initial cancellation. As you have not attempted to resolve your dispute they will not cosider it valid. should you fail to pay the outstanding balance sent to the agency it will be visible on equifax. unfortunelty this is going to effect your credit rating. (I am a trainned credit counsellor) I wish you luck resolving this, the best option at this point is simply to pay. Also now that an agency has been involved chances are bell will no longer look into your case. They have legal grounds to do this in your contract. You should try and fix this as soon as possible do not let in linger. Good luck and i hope ive answered your question.
