Should Immigration policy be linked to Trade policy?

Yes they are different things. One is about people moving between countries and maybe changing citizenships and the other is about selling goods and services between countries.

And they should be managed seperately. But they are both related to each other through country's economic performance. So maybe that reality should be formally recognised in both policies?

What do you think?

Yes Sigy they may be separate issues but the effect is combined. So you're correct they should be recognized in both policies.

They both should pursue the needs of the country that has the policies -- that's their relationship. Both should be concerned with getting quality in and keeping the trash out.
 
Keep 'em separate. The issues are complex enough without muddying the waters by trying to combine them.
