make my pc run rediculously slow? I downloaded limewire to see if I could get one program off of it, and lo and behold it pretty much shut my entire system down, even when I did a virus scan. The system was moving so slow that I literally could not do ANYTHING. Even though I wanted to keep it, I got fed up with the hundreds of irrevelant files it had placed on my system when I downloaded ONE program, and so I did a system resore to uninstall it. But I just want to know if I had it and I did not have the internet, would I still be able to use it to search for files? I just want to know before I download it again. Also, why does it slow my system down so much? Does it do that for anyone else? Why?
