Why dont British people getting into combat sports like MMA?

I love footie but footie doesnt create the excitiement of sports like mixed martial arts. I watch UFC 81 in Newcastle and I was blown away from the intensity of the fights. There are good British fighters. Good but not great. I think British fighters lack wrestling ability and ground fighting ability too create great fighters. Britian doesnt have its Anderson Silvas or its Randy Couture like the Brazil and USA do. But UK has Michael Bisping and Paul Taylor. I think MMA is better than football cause the sport doesnt run on lies and coruption like boxing does. UFC will be bigger than the EPL one day mark my words.
