Debit/Credit card instead of Cash? Like the ? states what do you think about it.
Credit card companies just charge a 2% fee for every transaction made which amounts to .40 cents for every $20 gas purchase. Some gas station owners add on a .10+ cent surcharge per gallon of gas. What we aren't getting screwed enough by the oil companies. Escuse me for not going in and waiting for 5-10 minutes to pay for the gas then pump it and go back in and wait another 5-10 minutes to get change back.

You have to ask yourself what your time is worth. If it isn't worth anything, feel free to use your card. This is not a new situation. Cash discounts have been around a long time.

I hate it. It is common practice in NYC. So I haven't used CC to buy gas in 20 years.

Simple solution for simple problem.

Good Luck...
