What are the laws about living/working in other commonwealth countries?

Hi all,
I'm wondering what commonwealth countries have in common with one another? For example i'm from britain and if i wanted to move to another commonwealth country would i need a visa? would i be able to legally work there? does it depend on the country, and if so where do i find this sort of information? Thanks in advance
