I just got my ps3 recently and i want to set it up to play games online.

what do i need to do cuz all i have running to my computer is a modem and i dont think i can connect it to there.

plz help

you need to have a router hooked up to your home network. A good, well rounded router, in my opinion, would be the WRT54G model from Linksys. You can usually buy it from Best Buy for about 50 dollars.

Follow the instructions (very easy to hookup) and now you can connect your PS3 either wirelessly, or run an ethernet cord from the router to the back of your PS3 and home PC, and you're set.

If you go wireless then the Playstation will automatically set up for you on getting the console. If not you need a lan cable they are pretty cheap, just plug it into your router/modem and the Playstaion will detect it.

you need a ethernet cable and u need one that is long enough to start at your ps3 and all the way to your computer, when you do get the ethernet cable hook one side to your ps3 and the other end to your little box (by box i mean the thing that show the green lights and cables at the back of it) then thats all really
