"Access Denied" on Bit torrent?

I just tried using bit torrent and I keep getting the error Message "error, access denied" where it says the status. I'm new to this and I think my antivirus is shutting it down, but turning the firewall off and all didn't work. I've tried many torrents, some work for a little, then quit. Any Help would be greatly appreciated!

P.S. Keep in mind I'm not a code monkey, but i am descent with computers, so please put something I'll understand!
