why religion?

i mean with out religion we would be so smart and more advances civilization, most of the people that inveted something did not belive in religion. So many people have wasted time on religion around 4000 years and we spent 100 years on making a space ship imagine what we could of done with that 4000 years? all im saying is my apinion i know i cant spell for crap but i mean with out riligion we would be the aliens that would be visiting some other planet ?

with out religon many people would not advance, many people need the god they worship to thrive, to have something to live for, someone with great power to serve and please withoput this maybe we would not have made it as far as we have all in all i think religon has helped our country thrive by giving commin ground for people to unite.
