When you have a yard sale and sell some of your kids toys and clothes...

...what do you do with? the money you earned? Do you keep it? Do you put it in their banks or buy them new toys/clothes? Just curious what other do. :)
 
Well, Sometimes i do it, coz i need some money for things and other

and sometimes i put it in the bank
 
If they are giving up a prized toy then it's their money.

Remember gifts are given, you don't take them back.

Have them put the money in the bank
 
some of it depends on what the item is.... also asking the kids to help out helps them learn a bit how the econemy works in a way!!! having a product and selling it.... putting half of their earnings away for collage fund and the rest if they see something they might want while shopping!!
So it teaches them how to save and if they really want stuff they need to work for it and that its not just given to them on a silver platter!!
I just keep the monies that were from items I put in the sale!
 
We put all proceeds from our lawnsales in a vacation jar. The only $ that does not go in the jar is spent on lunch for that day.
