...and petition. The network has the? ....right to fire him if he makes ratings go down.
Is this coming from the federal government?
What is so hard for conservatives to understand about this?

Congrats. You are the first person I've seen on YA who actually gets it. Except for the fact the network can fire him even if the ratings do not go down, you are bang on.

That is correct everyone had the right to do as they did. I lways find it interesting tat liberals leave out the last peice of the puzzle. A&E's customers have the rioght to complain to A&E, and its sponsors, about the action that they took. Why do liberals just want people to shut up when they disagree with them?

Very good.

And the public has the right to boycott A&E's sponsors and say that Phil was absolutely right. Do you understand that?

Absolutely. Seems that cons only care about their own free speech, to heck with the free speech rights of the network, the other tv viewers, and so on. Funny how that always works with them....did anyone hear their outrage over the dixie Chicks situation? Of course not, because they were the instigators.. And then there was Dan Quayle and his outrage over that Murphy Brown single mother situation. The GOP are the party of the double standard for sure..

A&E has the right to fire for breech of contract or employee agreement. Nobody should be complaining about that. Robertson's rights have not been violated. The only true problem is that so many so-called Americans know nothing about rights, the Constitution or the Bill of Rights.

The ignorance of the masses is astounding. I can only hope these people sit out the next elections.

I wonder how many people are aware that the rules that got Robertson suspended also apply to them. Most companies and corporation will not tolerate hate speech and bigotry. Including Yahoo, Answers and we the members.

True, however, why are plaintiff's winning frivolous law suits the name of discrimination when wedding photographers do not want to photograph a gay wedding?

Disney owns A&E and is nearly exempt from taxes because of all the propaganda it puts out on its Disney channels.
