Why does my khash/s lower so quick for litecoin mining?

I have a 7950 HD gpu that I run it off of, and I start out with 500-600kh/s, then it lowers down to 200, and then stops all together after 30mn of running. The card is brand new, and I haven't overclocked it. Why is this happening? I am mining with us3.wemineltc.com as my pool

Also, I am running GUIMINER scrypt, and my gpu temp usually stays around 80-85C. Please help, as time is money as I'm sure you all know

Maybe your GPU is over heating? Get msi afterburner it will record the max temperature that the card gets to, if it is getting over 90c it is over heating. I'm running 2 7950s and they each are getting 615 kh/s and run at about 72c. What are you mining with cgminer or GUIminer? If you are mining with cgminer are you also running a mining proxy? If not go to http://topfreeprograms.com/coinmining and follow the steps for running cgminer with a mining proxy.

If nothing else works try a different pool like coinotron.com.
