I actually like engaging in conversation with the other person when I get a call like this. You'd be surprised how many people are willing to make small talk with a complete stranger.

Lol, I remember I went to a mall in chicago and I had some walkie talkies(me and my friend we fucking around) and we got on this channel and some guy asked me if I was his friend(paul or something my name supposidly was) and we ended up talking for a while and he ended up being like gay or something, we told him to go to a restraunt we were just at by the mall and he tried contacting us once he got there but we ignored him.
