Will Verizon wireless activate an unlocked phone I have purchased from a third party?

I want to purchase a Sony Ericcson Xperia Z but no major carriers sell the phone. Just wondering what the process was of getting an unlocked cell phone hooked up to the Verizon network functioning properly. Any info would be great.

I suggest taking to an actual Verizon store. They have to look at it, etc. It also depends if the phone was in a previous contract or if it was pre-paid.

Not sure if they do. maybe depends if the phone is supported, might include flashing. take it to a verizon store. I would suggest a verizon mvno though, they will most likely accept your phone.
