Does anyone know about Verizon phones?

I'm switching to Verizon in the near future, and I haven't really been able to do research on their phones. I was hoping someone could share knowledge as far as which phone gets better reception and hopefully isn't too big. I know allot of phones are getting wider and more tablet sized, I don't want that, that's what I have a tablet for. Also one that you could tether from fairly easy

Verizon doesn't allow tethering. They have tons of phones to choose from.
