VW passat shaking at 75 mph?

    Volkswagen Passat Fault?
Just bought a diesel vw passat estate which from 75mph starts to shake. I can feel it coming up through the seat and sometimes through the accelerator pedal. Also at this time there is a "buffering" sound similar to, but not as loud, when you open a back window when travelling. The passenger headrest will shake also so it's quite noticeable.

Have had the wheels balanced so its definitely not that. Also tried dipping the clutch when travelling but the fault remains. Would be so appreciative of any ideas as to the fault and possible costs to rectify - many thanks!

I'm afraid the answer my friend is to get the car on a ramp and check everything at the front end. That could be anything from engine/exhaust mountings to suspension, steering, anti roll bar or accident damage. Until its looked at the cost to repair can't be determined. Hope for your sake its not too expensive.

    Hmm...
Don't want to worry you, but did you check for signs of any accident damage?
