Issue with my verizon phone and the red check mark?

I have a verizon non-smart phone and typically with verizon phones when sending texts to other verizon users it'll show the red check mark to show that it was delivered. Randomly tonight, it stopped showing the red check mark to verizon users I was texting and instead shows the purple arrow that shows when I text non verizon users. So basically it's showing the purple arrow whether or not it's a verizon user. Is there any way I can fix this?

My text messages are receiving and sending fine, but the delivery check isn't coming up anymore.

It sounds like a network issue. I would call Verizon and tell them the problem. They should be able to answer your question.
