im asking this question because before i had the galaxy i had an my-touch4g slide by the way this was 3 month ago) and i switched to a tmobile and called they knew i switched my phone and asked me if i wanted to speak with the iphone department that they had???? ho did they know?? was it because of the imei or sim??? help me pleaseeeeeee!!!!!!!!!

Typically when you reported your phone lost, the blacklist/block your phone by the IMEI number. If you try to use the phone, T-mobile will know. Some phone carriers share "blacklisted" IMEI numbers with other major carriers, this is to prevent phone theft...............

ANY time you make a call on a mobile network the can "see" your SIM & IMEI or ESN.
