I've bought Heartbeats by Lady Gaga two years ago. Despite all of the bad reviews, I got them, and I liked them, so much! However, after a month or two, I realized two main things:
1. The highs on the headphones are barely there
2. The bass is strong, but on strong bass songs, it gets muddled.
So, I'm looking for in-ear headphones (since they cancel out noise and they're conveniently small) that have good highs and lows. I've seen many sites and questions like this, but most of the questions here were recommending Beats by Dre and Skullcandy, both headphones I've seen with bad reviews.
Thank you in advance~

the first thing you should do is go to head-fi.org and search "best iem (in ear monitor) under *insert price here*. You will get results ranging from under 50 to under 500. No one over there will recommend and beats, skullcandy, ect.
look into sennheiser (i have personally tried the ie7, ie7 and CX300B MK II. grado, akg, audio technica, klipsch are also good brands.
