They both can be basically the same under the hood I would drive both and see which one you like better and also see which one suits your needs in a car better. Volkswagens are good when their new but have trouble with age. If you want a long lasting vehicle that will go 200-300k than go with Honda Toyota Nissan, etc ( Japanese)
