I have the iphone 4 and my friends have been telling me that they are getting older texts from our convos...anyone aware how to fix it?

Is there any solution other than to ignore? I need to get this fixed! My son's babysitter got in the car and was on her way to my house because my phone sent her a text I had sent her days earlier. I wasn't even at home! Please help! I need it to stop!
