When i was around 15 or so i was on limewire and i accidentally downloaded a video file which i later found out after it had finished downloaded - was something i WAS NOT looking for and so i deleted it from my computer when i realised this. About a month or so ago (over 3 years from this incident) i was watching a video about a guy in his 20's who had a similar incident and the FBI came round and he was arrested. Right now i am really worried. I just need some advice to set my mind at ease as i am having a bit of a problem with it. The computer i had used has been discarded and destroyed about a year ago if that makes the situation any easier? Any positive words would be really appreciated . Thank you

I assume your new pc doesn't have the same ip address so they will never figure it out.I'm sure the guy u saw had downloaded many stuff.
they would never arrest you for one vid

Assuming the Hard Drive was destroyed too, even if the FBI knew you had downloaded it, they probably wouldn't bother paying thousands to recover a hard drive and get enough evidence to try and arrest you for it.
Plus, it's pretty obvious it was an accident, as you just stated.
I don't think they would bother

Nothing to worry. You have deleted the Video right. Just make sure it is completely gone from the computer. Remove it from the recycle bin also, If it is completely removed then you are safe.
