What the difference between "Introduction to microcomputers" and "Introduction to

computers"? Are they the same? I assume not. I need to take introduction to microcomputers, but
I'm actually taking introduction to computers:/

I'd ask the teacher. "Microcomputers" is an antiquated term referring to, like, regular PCs and home computers of that size as opposed to mainframes and stuff. But when most people say "computers" now, they ARE referring to microcomputers; I could see an Intro to Computers class just being about Windows and stuff, without discussing any of the many other kinds of computers there could be (UNIVAC and stuff)

But as stated, for your purpose the one is discussing computers you would find in a home, the other would most likely cover all of them but more along the line of Mainframes and larger computer systems. Neither are a technical class.

It depends on how far you want to take the term microcomputer. Modern Cellphones are microcomputers also. There are some on machines and equipment that are also considered microcomputers. The term is a misconception with many different meanings.
