NOKIA'S Pin Code is really ticking me off. Can you help?

My AT&T NOKIA Cell-Phone has a PIN code, so whenever I turn it off, it needs a passcode. It takes a pretty long time to turn on and off, so it's starting to annoy me. Is there a quicker way to lock my phone?
