The first four seasons of The Office were some of the best network comedy I'd seen since Seinfeld. But season 5 was a huge disappointment and the current season is even worse. What was so great about the show was its approach to humor. Instead of relying on worn out sit-com jokes and one-liners played out over a laugh track, The Office's humor seemed completely organic. All of the charisma that seemed to permeate the staff of Dunder-Mifflin has been replaced by the insipidness of the local DMV.
