Yes, there is a connection. A B C D E F G are the NOTE names of the musical solfege notes.So, to map it all out:Do - CRe - DMi - EFa- FSol - GLa - ASi/Ti -BHope I helped. :]

do re mi, is the order of a scale, just the notes, so it all depends on what scale the song you are doing is in..however, for learning the most basic scale is the c major scale, which is C D E...etc, so if you were to match it up do=C, re=D, mi=E...etc.

do re mi fa so la ti do are usually used when singing. They correlate to places in an octave, or a scale. Do is always the starting note. Re is the second note in the scale, mi the third note, fa the fourth note, so the fifth note, la the sixth, ti the seventh and do is the eighth note, which is the same as the first but an octave higher. However, do re mi fa so la ti aren't the correct name for the notes. When you play a musical instrument the notes are referred to by the letters, C D E F G A B. Also sharp and flat signs are used.Do re mi fa so la and ti are not c d e f g a b, it depends on the scale you are using. If you are using a b flat scale then Do = b flatre = c naturalmi = d naturalfa = e flatso = f naturalla= g naturalti= a natural

they can be called either one. most americans go by the letters and not the words. both work. there is a connection obviously. good luck with your musical aspirations.

do re mi fa so la ti do, are words used to sing a vocal scale.CDEFGABC are music notes, like you would see in piano or guitar music. You would sing the CDEFGABC notes using the do re mi fa so la ti do. Hehe, FYI: unrelated to your question. The alphabet song, "ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOP...QRSTUV...WXY and Z" is sung to the same tune as "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star"

They are the notes in an octave and their pitch and sounds

I'm not SURE but it seems there could be. Do re mi fa sol la si do is a measure of vocalizing an escalating scale. The letters a through g are notes of the major scale. Considering the first and last vocalization is "do", and the first and last note of a scale are the same, I would suggest that perhaps this pattern is applied when vocalizing a scale.

It depends on what KEY you are in, if you are in the key of C, than C is do, but this is because there are no flats or sharps to raise or lower the key. It depends on the number of sharps and flats that are in the key signature what key you are in, whatever key you are in is what do is ( if you are in the key of f, F is do...etc).. and DO RE MI FA SOL LA TI( or Si) DO are the sol feg, you use that to learn how to sing a piece and get your pitches correct.. C D E F G A B are the notes...you do sol feg for the notes of a piece to learn the pitches... HOPE THIS HELPS!!
