    Wife wants my truck from parents backyard?

    My truck is under my ex wifes name, and it is parked in my dads backyard, she wants to send a tow truck to pick it up, can the tow truck break the lock and tow it if i refuse to let him get in the backyard and take it

    If it's in her name, it's not your truck.

    She has every legal right to have HER truck towed.

    No, the towing company will not likely vandalize your property, but your ex CAN have the sherrif force you to open the lock.

    If it's not yours, you don't have any legal claim to it. You can be a jerk and try to prosecute the towing guy, but it's not his fault and you know it.

    She can just send the police along and they can do it legally. Why are you withholding her property? That's theft.
